Commencement of Shore Approach Pipeline Installation for Offshore Terminal of Niger to Benin Crude Oil Export Pipeline Project

In February 2022, Timeast signed a subcontract agreement with China Petroleum Pipeline Engineering Benin Co., Ltd. Shore Approach Pipeline Installation for Offshore Terminal of Niger to Benin Crude Oil Export Pipeline Project officially started!

The project is located in about 30km east of Benin COTONOU Port in West Africa. Two parallel pipelines of about 14.4km long will be laid from the landing end to the sea side. The offshore terminal is a single point mooring system of CALM type. Timeast is mainly responsible for the construction of two 28-inch offshore pipelines, each is about 500 meters. 

Main work scope: Pulling Site Construction, Shore Approach Submarine Pipeline Laying, Flooding, Post-trenching, Backfilling with Dredged Material, Site Reinstatement, etc.

Project engineering department colleagues went to Africa to overcome the complex local environment and homesickness, carried out the project work conscientiously. We hope that they will pay attention to their own safety, complete submarine pipeline construction project successfully and return to the embrace of motherland as soon as possible.
