Commencement of Submarine Pipeline Post-Trenching Project of Jidong Oil Field NP1-1D And Its Energy Saving & Low-carbon Demonstration Area Construction Project

Jan 24th, 2023, the third day of first lunar month, the Jidong Oil Field NP1-1D Submarine Pipeline Post-Trenching Project started mobilizing. Braving the severe cold and with the Spring Festival’s atmosphere, the PMT went to the first-line construction site.

A layer of floating ice formed on the sea at ten degrees below zero, the sea ice shining in the sun and stinging eyes straight. The icebreaker broke through the thick ice to slowly open a channel for the project.

NP4 - 1D and NP4-2D are 2 artificial islands located in the shoal of Getuo Island on the east of Caofeidian Industrial Zone. Timeast main work scope is post-trenching work of the pipe section, the specific work is as follows:

1) Jidong Oilfield NP4-1D/NP4-2D Tight Line Transportation Reform Project post-trenching between the directional drilling exit points, the trench depth is 2m from seabed to the top of the pipe, and the trench depth shall be 4m near the channel;

2) Oil Field Nanpu 1-3 area Nm-Ed1 rolling development project post-trenching, the depth of trench depth is 2m from seabed to the top of pipe.

Considering the technical requirements and hydrogeological conditions of construction area, Timeast will carry out the post-trenching by Hydraulic Excavator SE-12000.
