Jidong Nanpu 1-29 Gas Storage Pilot Test Ground Engineering Injection Acquisition and Gathering Pipeline Project Lay Barge Construction Project has successfully completed offshore pipeline laying and started riser expansion bend installation.

Offshore pipeline laying is really difficult and requires high welding technology and equipment capacity. With water depth increase, seabed instability, low rock strength and many other factors, offshore pipeline laying technical difficulty has increased exponentially. During pipeline laying, there was an intertidal zone about 500 meters in construction area which increased lots of difficulties. Meanwhile, a new process is added, which started from both ends of the pipeline and horizontal ends tie-in pipe section. All project members rose to the challenges, and main construction lay barge "TIAN YI 601" successfully completed submarine pipeline laying task within the scheduled time. The smooth laying work made a good foundation for riser expansion bend installation, post-trenching and other project related work subsequently.
